Movies - My classify
Gone are the days of ignorant about 'English' movies. Use to consider english movies are filled with action and lip-lip kisses and all completed within 1.5 hours as compared to 2.5 hours of tamil movies filled with songs , action and slapstick comedy and little bit of story which i felt was so good and worth to watch as compared to english movies.
But now, gained some knowledge about these 'English' movies and in a situation to differentiate between the different categories of movies and in a situation to differentiate my preferences according to the movie category.
Infact, hollywood/foreign movies have covered multiple grounds and categories which still our indian movies are feared to touch or considered as unwanted.Which is good in one way. In one of the interview, Kamal was pointing out like, making movies specific and core to a particular ethnic, culture and race is important and those kind of movies only will be accepted globally and become universal.More the nuances of a particualar segment of people or their culture leads to more of its reach and popularity.
In software coding terms, usage of local variables were recommended and try to avoid global variables.If global variables were to be avoided, then the concept of header files should also be eliminated.But in reality, header file usage is kind of recommended because it aids in the dynamic linking of the supported library functions thru' linker and helps us to write multiple efficient programs. So we can think, header files is like making movies for the international audience who have their option to relate the movie to their own regional taste while watching the movie.
Local variables is like making movies for a specific locality and cannot be enjoyed by other locality within the same country or by international audience.
Then, what is this global variable? Why it should be avoided? Global variables is like variable declared with the program scope and cannot be shared across multiple programs. Also, it is very difficult to keep track of it, since it can be modified at any place of the program. So, Global variables is like movies made within a particular country and have mixed responses within the same country and those movies doesn't have influence on other country's interest and stands out as a status symbol of that country.
Which movie type is superior than the other ?, it all depends on the quality of that movie.Although I classify movies as local, global or header, a true lover of movies must not get influenced by the above definitions. He should be able to appreciate movies made of his own local region or by his country or by any other country and therby extending his support for a common cause, which is the passion for movie.
